    About Us

Maxine launched her Petpals business in 2006 and covers the northern areas of Cardiff. Originally from Derbyshire Maxine had lived and worked in Sussex for 14 years in the Finance and Accounting sector. On taking redundancy and a house move to Cardiff, this allowed her to combine the love of animals with the outdoors and fulfil her ambition of running her own business.

Maxine is well known in the north Cardiff area for her friendly and professional nature towards her clients and their fab pets, a lot of which have been with us since pup/kitten age and its been a real pleasure to see them flourish into such wonderful companions.

Our small team of walkers and pet carers show great commitment in looking after our clients pets, loving them like their own. In fact two of my lady pet carers have recently passed with their own Labradors as P.A.T (Pets as therapy dogs) which they get great pleasure from. Something they have both inspired me to look into, now we have a new pup, Ginny the infamous Rottweiler..

In the past I have volunteered for Dalmation Welfare where I vetted and rehomed many dogs over the years, although still a volunteer, I lost my two Dalmations William and Ruby 5 years ago, who were the reason I set up in the first place. I have owned dogs and cats, a cockatiel, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs and terrapins, and cared for many chickens, pheasants, parrots, tortoises, chinchilllas ,stick insects, bullfrogs to name a few. I also administer insulin for cats and dogs and various medication for your pets, and we undertake a first aid course once a year.

Please have a look at the areas covered above. If your village or area is not covered please contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
