This is the third time we have left our Old English Sheepdog Millie who is now 21 mths old with Fiona and Dave, two week holiday last year, another couple of weekends and then this Sept 2011 and we must say what a wonderful time Millie must have had as she really missed them when she came home and when taking her back she flew into the house, Home from Home, Millie must be thinking eh! Millie is not a well dog and I am very fussy who I would leave her with and there is no doubt in my mind I feel very at ease with Fiona and Dave in leaving Millie with them, they look after her with true devotion as they do with all their little darlings. They keep you updated with texts and photos when your on holiday which keeps us very much at ease. This was the first time I had left my bunny rabbit with anyone other than friends/family and I wasn't disappointed! In fact, I was extremely pleased that he had so obviously been well cared for and looked after. I only dealt with Fiona and she was wonderful. Very accomodating and helpful. Fiona & Dave were wonderful with our elderly dog Penny, who required daily insulin injections and is also blind. They sent daily information and photo updates. I would recommend Petpals and would never consider leaving Penny anywhere else now!

I have taken my dog Harvey to kennels onece before and he was not at all happy he came back very stressed so we decided never to do the kennel stay again.My friend told me about Fiona and Dave and said she was shure that Harvey would love it and im glad to say she was right .Harvey pulls me down Fionas and Daves yard because he knows that that house means fun he loves it and we can go away and know that he is in safe hands this sevice is the best thing that we could of wished for i would tell anyone to go to Fiona and Dave they love the dogs as much as the owners .

This was the first time our dog cookie had stayed with petpals & i must say its been a fantastic experience from start to finish ! fiona & dave have taken care of our special girl like there own ..this is a very special service that fiona & dave provide & cookie will be back when we go away again as we know she is very safe & loved ...plus the daily texts while we were away put our kids minds at rest ...what more can we say FANTASTIC !

I have been leaving my dogs in the care of Fiona and David for about three years. I go away fairly frequently as I'm in the TA and I have to attend weekend training and also annual camp. In January of this year I was on an operational tour and I was away for sixteen weeks. I was obviously concerned about leaving my dogs for such a long period but there was no need. Fiona and David looked after them brilliantly. They gave me regular feed back and sent me weekly photo blueys which was great to receive. When I eventually returned home they were in the best of condition and were still very extremely happy girls. I have no qualms about leaving my dogs in the capable hands of Fiona and David.

We have 2 Border Collies, Lady and Tess who have recently stayed with Fiona and Dave for a week while we were abroad. We deliberated for ages before deciding on Petpals, as I am sure all you dog owners will understand, our dogs are very precious to us and we wanted to be sure they would be well cared for while we were away. Fiona and Dave were brilliant from the beginning, very professional and their obvious love of dogs shone through. We received regular updates and photos of our dogs by text and this was so reassuring for us. When we returned it was wonderful to see Lady and Tess looking so content, they had obviously had a great time. The following day after we fetched the girls back, we received a follow up call from Fiona to see how they were. We would not hesitate to recommend Fiona and Dave, it is a first class service and we will definately use them again.

Brilliant is the only word to describe the service offered by Fiona and Dave. Having acquired a beagle puppy (Nelson) and his mum (Flora) in November it was a steep learning curve for us and a little daunting. We found Petpals on the internet and Fiona came to the house to introduce herself and their service, the dogs both loved her instantly. Fiona walks them regularly and we always know when they have been out as they sleep all afternoon and evening! When Nelson was ill recently Fiona's knowledge and advice was fantastic at a time when ordinarily we would have been running to the vet in a state of panic. I cannot praise them enough and would highly recommend the service to anyone.

We were recommended to Fiona and Dave by friends who also have a labradoodle like us. As soon as we started the walks we new straight away how much Coco enjoyed them, jumping quickly into the van and always happy when she came back. Since then she has stayed for play days as I like to call them and been for a week while we were away, and we couldn't be more pleased. Well what can I say about Fiona and Dave from the moment you first call them, they put you at ease and give the confidence that they are the right people to look after your dog or any pet for that matter. When Maximus, my 11 month old German shepherd puppy, who lets say to be fair is a handful, and i went for our socialisation at their house they were both welcoming and friendly, straight talking and very fair, which is a credit to them. Max was accepted into the pack and stayed with them for a 5 day stint, true to their word they contacted me every day giving me updates on how max was doing, well of course! On collection Max was calm, happy and content in his surrounding and that again is to Fiona and Dave's credit. Even when your pet's are not boarding with them, they have all the time in the world for a question, even when max whet missing and returned, they did all they could to help and support us both, they truly go out of their way for the love of animals. we have used Fiona and David on a number of occasions to home board 'Rafferty' our Labradoodle. In addition to this, Fiona and David take him walking with his pals every week. We have been delighted in every aspect of the service and what is more Rafferty loves it too - he can't wait to get into the van each week and it is clear to us that he is in very safe hands and that he is loved, just like all the other dogs. At the end of the day, Rafferty is the best arbiter on whether the service is good and judging by his reaction when he sees Fiona and David, I'd say he is a very satisfied customer - and so are we!

We have been leaving our beloved pet Pop with Fiona and Dave for about a year now and he loves it. He is clearly a very happy dog when he stays as he gets very excited when we turn up to drop him off! Definately highly recommended.

We first used Dave and Fiona's service a couple of years ago for our 6 year old Pug Jessie. She home boarded wwith them whilst we were on holiday. It was the first time she had ever been away from home and we were worried about how she would settle. Fiona was great she sent us regular text messages to update us on how she was settling in and Jessie came back home a happy dog! last October we were joined by a Northern Inuit puppy called Angus. He was a totaly diffrent kettle of fish to Jessie. A very large, boisterous puppy who soon developed into an even bigger boisterous adolesent dog! Unlike Jessie who if necessary you can scoop up under your arm or catch on the run Angus is the kind of dog who needs an experienced handler. Together they're handful and I was worried how someone would cope with the two of them. I need not have been concerned Fiona is fantastic with them both. She picks them up and the dive into the van and away they go! They come back shattred after lots of excercise and socialisation. Fiona and Dave stick to their routines and our rules re disapline etc and we have a gulit free break with no ill efects afterwards! I cannot praise this service highly enough. Its flexible, friendly and safe and my dogs love it! Thank You

We are very grateful to Fiona of Amber Valley Petpals for her efficient and friendly service. We were worried about taking our elderly German Shepherd to the vet without our own transport. Petpals provided an excellent pet-taxi service; Fiona waited with us at the vet's and brought us back afterwards. Sorry this is a bit belated - I wasn't aware of the feedback facility.

We found out about Fiona and Dave from the internet and after reading the testimonials decided to try a visit for our 5-month old Border Terrier, Willow, when we had to go away for a weekend as an alternative to Boarding Kennels (which we didn't really want to use). After an initial visit to meet Fiona and Dave and their lovely dogs Chester and Muffin, plus all their other visiting dogs, Willow stayed for a couple of weekends and it was obvious that she had a fantastic time! She was extremely well cared for and it was lovely to see her playing with all the other pals (especially Chester, who really looked after her, and who she's fallen in love with!!) Fiona has a fantastic knowledge and rapport with all the dogs- who are extremely sociable, friendly and happy (dogs of all sizes and breeds). Its lovely to know that when we have a holiday, so does Willow, and we can rest assured knowing she's safe, happy and cared for as if she were at home. I really can't recommend this service enough! xx

We have used Petpals Amber Valley for over 6 years and are incredibly satisfied with the service. Since Fiona and Dave took over from the previous franchisee the service has been 100% reliable and our Boxer called Berry can't wait to be collected for her walk whether it is on her own, or with some of the many doggy friends she has made as a result of Petpals. She has become much more socialised with other dogs as a result of the Petpals walks. We have absolutely no worries with the care Berry receives or with security of our property which has always been left correctly locked after the walk. The mass walks with all the dogs and 'parents' which are organised by Dave & Fiona are very good and it gives us chance to see how Berry reacts with other dogs. Our two year old labrador Monty absolutely adores Fiona and Dave, their dogs and the other dogs he meets through them. When the Petpals van arrives Monty dives in and sits there as if to say 'come on then I want to play with my mates!' He's equally happy and so excited when we drop him off in Alfreton too. Hattie is a year old and has many visits to Fiona and Dave since she was a puppy. She loves the home boarding.She knows them well and pulls like mad to go in. Eric is 15 weeks and has loved his first visit. They love being out with the other dogs. Nothing is too much trouble. The care is exceptional and we can leave them knowing they are having a great time with the many friends they have made. I would and have highly recommended pet pals to friends.

The only place we will leave our beloved black labrador Charlie is with Dave and Fiona who have him to stay every christmas for just over a week.He is kept to the same routine as if he were still at home and is treated as one of the family.We are kept in touch with text messages during our holiday if requested and he always comes home with his christmas present from fiona! Pop has visited several kennels and come home an unhappy pup but after his stay with Barbara and the Pet Pals team he came home the happy dog we love to see. After visiting various kennels, I came to the conclusion that we wold not be having a holiday for a while because our dogs, Cherry & Lucy, would not like staying at any of them. However fate stepped in one day whilst walking them in Ashover. I happened to bump in to Fiona who was out doing her dog walking in the same area. We got chatting and she told me all about Petpals. After looking at the website, we decided that this was perhaps what we required, and they went for an overnight stay to see how they went on. However we needn't have worried and now Cherry & Lucy go on their own holiday to Fiona and Dave's home whenever we go on ours. From an overnight stay to a fortnight away, Fiona & Dave have always been friendly, professional and very accommodating, and we would not have any hesitation in recommending them. Since moving to Derbyshire and having never used a cattery when we went away as we lived close to family, it was great to find a service such as petpals to take the worry out of leaving our cat in a strange place whilst we were away. When Fiona and Dave took over the Amber Valley area we were at first anxious that the levels of service would change, however after an initial visit to our home by Fiona and Dave and after meeting Leo, our cat, I was more than comfortable with leaving her in their care. We have found the service to be even better than we expected. My house keys are left with them and I know, that if required, and more than often at short notice, they will always be there to look after Leo, my 14 year old cat. Fiona and David even ensure that my household plants are kept watered, and alive on our return, which is more than even my family members could be persuaded to do whilst we were away. Fiona and Dave walk Archie (our German Shorthaired Pointer). Being walked by them has really helped Archie to be more relaxed around other dogs. He comes back after a long walk almost "smiling" as he's enjoyed it so much and is worn out! I have found Fiona and Dave to be on hand whenever we've needed them which is very reassuring to know. They've really helped us to be able to keep Archie (and not have to re-home him) due to an illness in the family. They have an excellent understanding of dogs and their needs and have a genuine love for animals. I feel very relaxed around them and have no problem in them letting themselves in my house to take Archie out. They even came in heavy, heavy snow!! We go away on holiday knowing Archie is happy with them and that really does mean a lot to us and our children. We find the in-house boarding an excellent service as Archie doesn't cope with kennels very well. I would recommend them to everyone. Thank you both!

Dave walks our greyhound, Cleo, twice a week and has also been happy to come in and help us out at short notice. Being walked by Dave has been great for helping Cleo to socialise with other dogs - a task which other people were nervous of doing but which Dave and Fiona happily took on. Cleo always comes back well walked and happy and seems very disappointed on the days when she is only walked by me! I can highly recommend Dave and Fiona for a professional and reliable service.

Louise and Debs have looked after our cat Lulu on three occasions this year. Each time they have pandered to her idiosyncracies and looked after her with care and kindness. We like the notes which are detailed and instantly recognisable as normal Lulu behaviour. It's great to have such good and reliable care in place. They do a great job.

Louise recently looked after Oscar and Milly, our two cats, for five days. They are rescue cats and we hadn't had them very long so we were concerned about leaving them for the first time. We were delighted with the Petpals service - Louise came to meet Oscar and Milly about a week before our holiday and it was clear she is a 'cat' person. When we came back, Oscar and Milly were both well and happy. We hadn't realised Louise would leave us a written report of what they'd been doing every day - rather like a school report. It made interesting reading! We would recommend Louise to anyone - we felt it was much nicer than putting our cats into a cattery.

I've just had Louise visit my house to look after my birds whilst I was away for a long weekend. I was very impressed with the log book giving daily details of my birds activities, moods etc. It has given me so much peace of mind to know that my birds were looked after so well. I will not hesitate to use petpals again and can highly recommend them.

What a great service when Louise came to my house and was introduced to my cat Jazz I felt extremly happy that she would take great care. Finding someone local to come and look after my cat, Mim, allowed me to go on holiday and not worry. I absolutely didn't want to put Mim in a cattery and ideally wanted someone who could come and stay overnight - it wasn't necessary to have someone there during the day as all Mim does is sleep anyway - and Louise found someone (the lovely Hollie) who was happy to do this. I got text messages to say Mim was happy and healthy which was hugely reassuring. Knowing how well they looked after my furry girl, I wouldn't hesitate to use Louise and Hollie again. Thank you!

Louise was brilliant she came and had a long chat with us before we went away and met our cats.Louise is a natural with animals even with our shy cat Huey. I can't thank Petpals enough for the service I was provided. We moved to the area in November 2010 and when we arranged to get married and honeymoon abroad for 3 weeks I felt I couldn't ask neighbours who I barely knew to look after my two cats. Luckily I found an advert for Petpals who even though we lived right on the edge of their area were more than happy to visit and see if they could help me. The whole experience from initial enquiry to house visit to the actual looking after of Hamilton & Ariadne was extremly smooth and very much appreciated at a busy time in our lives. The initial contact was very thorough and professional which gave us the confidence to leave our cats in louise' care, and we were delighted with how well our cats were looked after whilst we were away on our hols. She is very good with the cats (our youngest cat is skittish with everyone but is fine with louise) She left a log for each visit which is a nice touch. Our cats and home were in very good shape when we got back. Will definately use this service again.

Louise came to visit following my response to her advertisement and was immediately engaged to provide a regular walking service for my 2 year old collie. She is very well organized and has been 100% reliable. I was very impressed with her thoroughness on the initial visit and the way in which the dog greets her tells me that they get on very well together and have good times when I am elsewhere! I love to read the notes Louise leaves, letting me know where they have walked and who they have met up with.I have not hesitated to recommended her to others.

If you are looking for a professional dog walker then I would recommend Petpals. My dog loves his walks, he gets to socialise with other dogs and gets a very long and interesting hour or so of exercise. Paul is very experienced and knowledgeable and I feel comfortable that my dog is being looked after 100%.

Paul from Basingstoke has been looking after Oscar, our Rhodesian Ridgeback, for all of this year. He came and met Oscar and evaluated him and was happy to take hi on. As a dominant breed, Ridgebacks need a firm but, fair hand and it is absolutely clear that Oscar trusts Paul 100% and that Paul get's the best out of Oscar as he always comes back ready to sleep! My hubby and i got Molly 2 months ago and she is most definitely our baby, she is very loveable and we are very protective of her. My job means that I am able to work from home some of the time but other times I away for a few days at a time and my husband doesn't work from home. Paul comes around and looks after Molly ensuring she has her food and comfort break and even cleans up!!!! Paul texts me once he has been to say all is ok and that's such a relief for me so i can concentrate and focus back on work. Molly is now 4 months old and i feel it's now time to get her out on some long walks with Paul and i look forward to coming home to a tired puppy. My husband and I got Alfie 9 months ago and as we do not have children he has become our first child! My job means that I am able to work from home some of the time but other times I am out all day. It was such a relief to have Paul look after Our Cocker Spaniel Ollie while we were away for a week. He adores his daily walks with Paul and to know he was in his care while we were away was fantastic . We do not know what we would do without Pauls flexibility, helpfulness and kindness. We are big fans!!!

Paul has been walking Belle since September and she clearly enjoys it! The photos of the dog walks are lovely to see and gives us peace of mind knowing that Belle is being exercised and well cared for whilst we are at work. Paul regularly takes our two Jack Russells, Brady and Peanut, out for walks and day care. The great thing about Paul's service is that he texts me to let me know when he has picked up the dogs and also when they have been dropped off. Paul has helping walking our Golden Retriever Nelson for a couple of months now and is fabulous! He takes Nelson out on lovely country walks with other friends and he always has a lovely time and comes home tired out. Paul recently looked after our two cats for two weeks whilst we went on holiday. I was a bit worried about leaving them home alone but equally didn't want them to be cold in a cattery. They were extremely well cared for and happy on our return. Oscar looked really well and had put on weight (he's older and had been a bit run-down). Paul even watered the plants! Our two boxers have been with a number of dog walkers over the years - Paul I think is rapidly becoming their favorate! They are always happy to see him, they are back in the house clean and dry and best of all, they are tired and happy to settle down in the evening - suggesting they are getting plenty of exercise. It's a big thing handing over the keys to your house and the leads to your dogs - we are more than happy to do both with paul.

Having recently starting using the Petpals service in Basingstoke my expectations for the level of care of our Labrador, Baxter, has been surpassed in every way. For the past six years Pet Pals (Blaby) have exercised our English Setter Dog and when necessary, cared for our cats. Barbara and her daughter Laura offer a very caring service. Attention to detail is spot on and recently when our now elderly Setter was unwell whilst out on his walk both my husband and self were contacted immediately so that any necessary action could be taken. Setters are noted for going their own way, and ours certainly does that, but, as a result of Laura's patient work with him his basic obedience work has been re-enforced so that he is able to enjoy off the lead time on his favourite walks. She has even managed to teach him to use a ramp for getting in and out of the vehicle that takes him to his walk venue - no mean feat! As we prepare to take on our next English Setter Puppy, Barbara has already been in touch so that we can, together, plan for this. Over the years we have recommended Pet Pals to friends and colleagues and the feedback from them has always been positive.

I would just like to reiterate our comments about the service we received in June when looking after our precious cat 'Skittles'. As you are aware, we were a little nervous as previously a neighbour had looked after Skittles. However, after your visit to meet Skittles and go through the questionnaire, Dave and I both felt really secure in the knowledge that Skittles would be well looked after, and that also our house was in good hands. You demonstrated personal interest in Skittles and her habits and I could see how you approached her was done with the utmost care. She took to you immediately. I was so worried about going back to work full time and what was going to happen to my 1 year old Golden Retriever, Monty. I really didn't need to worry. Today Alyson left a treat stocking and card for him for Christmas. So thoughtful! I also get a written update of everything that he has been up to when on his walk. Maxine has walked our dog Roxy for the last 4 years, she is very reliable and always does her best to accomadate last minute walks. She is brilliant with Roxy who can be a handful at times, it is obvious to see that she genuinely cares about the animals and is comitted to her job. She is professional and dedicated, we don't know what we would do without her!

I should also like to reiterate my comments for the work that Jackie does in walking and looking after Barney. She is absolutely smashing and always leaves us a lovely note about where Barney's been on his walk. She also helped us out in an emergency recently by boarding Barney when we had no alternative. Can't recommend her highly enough.

We can highly recommend Petpals Cardiff. Maxine does a great job for us. She takes our dog, Barney the border terrier, out for walks twice a week and we get a short written report after every trip which our daughter (aged 5) loves to read when she gets home. Barney must love it because he's always shattered in the evening after being out in the day. Barney is a very important part of our family and we wouldn't entrust him to anyone else other than Maxine.

I have two beautiful yet demanding cats called Sahara and Paris, both maine coons. As wonderful as my girls are they both have health issues ranging from having no tear ducts to having chronic IBS. Like most people I have to go away and leave my girls for periods of time and there is no-one I would rather leave them with. In particular one of my cats required consistent treatment to her eyes whilst I was away. I was slightly concerned that her condition might have deteriorated while I was away, but upon my return I found that her eyes were in excellent condition due to Maxine and Jackie's conscientious treatment. I can't recommend them highly enough as there attention to detail is excellent. Maxine and Jackie are kind,friendly, and wonderful individuals and truly put the care of your pets first. Thank you both for years of peace of mind.

I have used Maxine's dog walking and boarding services on a regular basis since Ruby our treasured Springer Spaniel came to live with us about 18mths ago. The service is second to none and I would highly recommend it! Ruby regularly day boards with Jackie and has also boarded with her for a week while we went on holiday. I was so anxious about leaving her, however I needn't have had any worries-Jackie provided a 'home from home' environment where she was cared for as if she was one of her own dogs. She had lots of fun, plenty of exercise and was extremely well looked after. Stella, our cocker spaniel was six months old when she came to us and took a while to settle in her new home. I work part time and it was too long a day for her to be on her own. Toilet training was also a big problem. She was unhappy and I felt guilty and stressed the days I had to leave her. Pet pals completely changed both our lives for the better. Jackie, Stella's walker (and best friend!) is absolutely wonderful. She does way and above what I expected. The mess in the house stopped immediately (Jackie adjusted Stellas walk time in accordance to her needs). I've been out for a walk with Jackie and the dogs she walks and have seen for myself what a wonderful time they have. They are safe and cared for. I trust her implicitly with both Stella and the security of my home. My husband is happy because I've finally agreed to book a holiday and leave my precious dog! My mind is at ease because she will stay with Jackie and her family (which includes two lovely cocker spaniels).My only concern is that Stella won't want to come home!

Maxine has been walking Macsen,our 3 year old Doberman,daily, for the last year and a half. She has always been very professional and caring,has a great rapport with Macsen and is always there for us, for the extra walks etc. when needed. Petpals Chelmsford has always offered a fantastic service for myself and my Cocker Spaniel, Pepper. My irregular working hours often mean last minute arrangements, and Peter and Ellie always manage to make time to look after Pepper - who loves his Petpals walks! He gets lots of attention and play every time, and on the occasions I have been at home when someone has arrived to walk Pepper, he only has eyes for them! Garry is an absolute star. Garry has been so sccomodating with working around shift patterns and completely reliable - I never even think to question that he won't be there for Bob come rain or shine. Dave and Michele walked my cocker spaniel for nearly three years till he sadly passed away. He was a rescue dog and didn't take readily to strangers. However Dave coaxed him to trust him and Jarvis soon became a regular lunch time walkies customer and I didn't have to worry about him for one moment that I was at work or during the times he went to board if I went away. Now my new Field Spaniel puppy happily goes off to day boarding and plays with the other dogs and gets nice walks. He even boarded overnight at the tender age of three months with no problems. We have two springer spaniels who, in the past, have refused to be taken for a walk by anyone other than myself or my husband. Poppy is almost 15 and Homer is almost 11. I had a spell in Hospital in August and the poor dogs needed walking. Even though they are getting on in years they still walk over an hour and a half each day. I was recommended by three friends to ask Michele and Dave at Chiltern Petpals for their help and I have to say we've been absolutely delighted with them. They have walked our dogs each day for the past five weeks and even came to take them out on a Sunday. Now that I am back on my feet I am able to walk the dogs for an hour in the mornings. However, they are both very unhappy about Michele and Dave not calling for them for a walk. As they seem to be missing their walk so much we've decided to ask for two walks a week. I can't thank Petpals enough. They have been walking my two dogs for two years now and have had them for a "sleepover" as well. Leaving our cats in a cattery was the most traumatic experience of their lives & we were never going away on holiday again. We found Julie online and were worried about leaving our cat alone with a new person, but Snotra looks happier when we come back from a trip than she does when we're here! It's clear Julie spoils her with treats and pets, and it's wonderful to be able to fully trust that an expert will look after our cat when we are away.

Our cat, Gooner, goes ballistic when taken out of the house and our only experience of a cattery left him with Cat Flu. I was nervous about letting a total stranger in to my house to look after a cat they didn't know, but Julie was just great. She gave him all his medication (putting drops in a cat's ear is no mean feat as you all know), groomed him and kept him company as well as fed him. Gooner tends to detonate huge mounds of cat litter from his tray and Julie not only cleared that up his business, she cleaned the bathroom lino too. Fantastic service, Julie is great! I felt a little unsure to begin with when letting a stranger into my home without any prior knowledge of them. When Julie visited to carry out her assessment I felt immediately at ease, I filled in the assessment and was reassured at the amount of information Julie wanted to know about my two cats including their likes/dislikes etc. I went away feeling completely happy and not worrying at all about what i was going to come home to. I contacted Julie during my holiday and received a great message back telling me how well the cats were doing, this is definitely a service I will be using again!

I have two cats who hate being in a cattery - I've had Petpals Chingford look after them in the house three times in the last couple of months and can honestly say I'm bowled over by the level of service and would not hesitate to recommend them most highly. Whilst I was originally nervous about having a stranger in the house, having met Julie for a detailed introduction before my first holiday, I was put totally at ease and impressed by the level of detail and security Petpals expect and provide. Coming back from holiday to very relaxed cats and a written daily record of how they were, confirmation that they ate, and knowing that the post was moved everyday was wonderful. Julie has even cleared up the odd furball - real service over and above!!

When we contacted Petpals we were a bit hesitant in letting a stranger look after our little "Precious" but as soon as we met Julie she put us at ease. We are always rest assured when we come home to find our pampered feline looking content and very well groomed. Julie is very accommodating when we contact her at the last minute which we do quite often. We can't recommend Julie enough.

We made contact with Petpals as we needed a home for three weeks for our 10 month old puppy,Oscar. Julie said that she wanted to meet him so that she could assess him so we arranged to meet her at her home. Oscar was fine and Julie said that she would be more than happy to look after him. We were very pleased that Julie asked lots of questions about Oscar in respect of his likes, dislikes, habits etc so that she could look after him without disrupting his normal routine. Whilst away, we contacted Julie and were assured that Oscar was well,having fun and enjoying his cuddles. Oscar was pleased to see us when we came home but it was evident that he enjoyed his time away! We would definately recommend using Julie and have already booked her for later in the year.

Just wanted to let everybody know about the fantastic service that we recently received from Petpals. Our dog Tilly suddenly developed a huge cyst on her leg the morning we were due to leave her. However Julie was not phased by this in any way and while we were away gave Tilly the best possible care that any dog could have received. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she spent time regularly bathing the cyst and rubbing in the prescribed cream. On her return home, although pleased to see us, Tilly actually whimpered as Julie drove away!!! That says it all for me! Thanks again, Julie.

We were delighted to find Petpals operated in our area and upon meeting Julie we realised she was just the lady to look after our 'Little Princess'. We are quite aware we have possibly the most pampered cat in the UK but nothing phased Julie at all! The moment she arrived she stroked Sweep and they seemed comfortable around each other which put us at ease from the start. Julie was so great in letting us know that Sweep was fine and dandy whilst we were on holiday and we loved the little report we found when we got home. The Magnet with Sweep on it is pride of place in the kitchen - such a nice touch. We so appreciated it when Julie's hubby watered the garden too! She is so pleasant to deal with and is clearly one of those people who animals just love...We have already booked her services for later in the year!

We have a Westie called Pickle who we used to place in a kennels when we went away but upon seeing a sign in our local petshop for petpals I knew we were going to be more than satisfied. I called Julie and immediately she had reassured me in a professional but friendly manner that they would be happy to take in Pickle for the night. Within minutes of being there Pickle clearly seemed at ease, we met the family and we were so elated that this was the case. They were all extremely accomodating. When we returned the next day Pickle,it was visible had a great time and without hesitation we booked for 3 other holidays on the spot. Julie and Rick are immensely talented in their time and patience, they are happy to give constructive critism and advice on certain points on training and looking after our little scamp, we have had 2 lovely presents from them in a magnet with Pickle's photo on and then a keyring with the same, and even had an e-mail this week from Julie saying that she is missing Pickle!.

So grateful for this service! We have a diabetic cat who needs 2 injections a day plus timed feeding. Can't thank Sally enough for her help, allows us to actually have a social life! Also much appeciate the bird feeding :) Huge props to Petpals and Sally in particular.

What a delight, I was so scared about leaving my Dogs Trust dog for the first time in 6 years. Found out about Petpals through a fellow dog owner, and what a find, Trixie was collected and returned in an even better condition than she left in.My teary thanks go to the Coventry/Hinkley branch of Petpals, namely Sally, and Jenny for all the TLC Trixie received. As an afternote why did I choose Petpals, because Trixie needed TLC after coming from Dogs Trust, and I would never have considered putting the Old Girl into nother kennel.WELL DONE PETPALS.

What an absolute gem of a service! We were worried about leaving our recently rescued Weimaraner in kennels when we found this service. Shumani had a whale of a time, so much so that when we dropped her off for the day a few days after returning home, she ran out of the car and straight into the house. She was also better behaved than she is at home! We went on holiday relaxed, safe in the knowledge that she was in good hands and that we could get in touch at any time. We thoroughly recommend this service, absolutely brilliant. We wouldn't leave our dog with anyone else now.

Emma and her team have been absolutely fantastic with my whippet puppy - they've really helped to build his confidence and stop him from getting bored on his own so I've not had any problems with house training or chewing! Emma and her petpals looked after our four cats; Cassie, Cocoa, Molly and Tess(M&T are semi-feral) while we were on holiday (10/09/11 to 16/09/11). When we returned home we were relieved to be greeted by four contented cats! We cannot express how thankful we were to find our cats as we had left them. We have had our two cats for over two years and brought them home from RSPCA Stapley. They got very upset every time we left for work and were waiting for us when we got home. We realised we couldn't disappear off for weekends and leave Smudge and Felix and then we found petpals. We tried the service and it was purrfect!!! We cam home to a log of times of where and how the cats were. We also came home to two totally relaxed cats who just opened their eyes to look at us and went back to sleep! I can't thank Emma enough for looking after my two cats so well. Every time I have used a cattery my tom cat has found the whole experience to be really stressful and he doesn't eat properly while he is there. When I discovered Petpals in Crewe it really was the solution to all the cattery problems I had experienced in the past. My cats much prefer staying in their own home and Emma does a wonderful job looking after them. They aren't the type of cats that take to strangers very well but they really like Emma. Just got back from a fortnight away. After we were let down by the people who usually look after Sophie, we had to make a last minute booking with Petpals. Nick was great about setting up the arrangement at short notice, and on our return our cat Sophie has obviously been well looked after, and we have a detailed log of how Sophie has been whilst we were away. Alongside caring for Sophie, Nick and his colleagues have also kept an eye on the house, including ensuring that the rubbish has been put out on the right day. They were even able to reset our internet router for us when a power cut caused the remote access to fail. Fabulous service, highly recommended.

I'd like to say a big thank you to Petpals, I wasn't keen on leaving my two cats at local kennels and wasn't sure what options I had until I found the Petpals site - on contacting Nick at Crowthorne I found the process of booking up their services very straightforward and easy to arrange. On returning from my holiday, both my cats were very well, lively and happy and on top of that, we found a daily report on how they had been while I was away. This was a great service and really feel that our cats benefitted from staying at home in a familiar environment rather than getting carted off to the local kennels. I contacted Nick at Petpals Crowthorne at very short notice prior to our summer holiday. The family cat, Tigger, needed looking after for nearly three weeks and our original arrangements had fallen through. Nick arranged a meet and greet with Tigger and me! Nick went through the cat sitting process, we completed a couple of simple forms and the deed was done. Nick also agreed to water the plants - indoors and outside, so another weight was removed from our minds. Nick visited Tigger once a day, fed him and fussed him - we even got a written log of Nicks visits, detailing Tiggers activities and eating habits, plus a text during our holiday to assure us that Tigger was fine. I am more than happy to recommend Nick and Petpals Crowthorne. In my opinion the service offered by Petpals far exceeds anything a Cattery can offer and your cat gets to stay at home in familiar surroundings.

Nick looked after my two cats Belle and Munchkin whilst I took a last minute family holiday. We came back to find very happy contented cats, we had a wonderful daily report letting us know what the cats had been up to. I recently left my guinea pigs in the care of Petpals as no willing relatives were available to look after them. I felt confident about leaving them from the moment that I met my piggy-sitter and my boys returned to me healthy and happy. Sal & the gang have been fantastic with Ollie since we got him in September, from puppy visits to walkies, I never worry about him when I am out as I know he's being well looked after & having an absolute ball with his many 4 legged pals. Petpals Darlington & Yarm is fantastic far superior to other similiar companys due to their structure & resources they are able to cope with last minute bookings and pre planned as a dalmation owner invaluable .. my pet has been placed with petpals over 4 years for walks and home boarding he loves it , when the van pulls up , he knows its fun and games .. and their staff are so polite and trustworthy i have total peace of mind especially when having to work shifts and unsociable hours , thanks sally / david and co.. from buster the dalmation and owner..

I don't know how i used to cope without petpals. No matter how short notice, they somehow always manage to fit Minstrel in for home boarding or a walk. I have complete piece of mind that she will be having a ball whenever she is out with the petpals gang. Whenever she goes out, either for a walk or for homeboarding, she always comes home a tired and happy dog.... I can't recommend the petpals service enough. Thankyou from me and the dog!

They take us on fab walks - feed us gravy bones when we're good (and actually good is most of the time because they've trained us so well - we just keep them on their toes every now and again). We wouldn't like life without petpals and hope that Mam and Dad are listening properly.

Sally is wonderful - cares for her charges very well and does a great job. Two staffies, two cats and the fish were well looked after.

My black labrador has been home boarding with Petpals for two years now and, apart from one occasion, always with his Auntie Sandra. The number of stays now total sixteen so it has cost me an absolute fortune. Unfortunately Ole (my dog) insists that my wife go on holiday as often as possible in order that he can go on his jollies too. He is so well looked after that he has to be dragged away on our return....it's so embarrassing! On a serious note, Sandra and her family are marvellous. I never worry about Ole, knowing he is being looked after better than he is at home. I would recommend Petpals and Sandra in particular to anyone.....just be careful that your dog doesn't decide he/she isn't coming home. Ole has also been walked on occasion by David.....again Ole has enjoyed himself enormously. The only criticism I can make is that sometimes he has had to mix with the Boys from the Boro instead of his preferred company, the Wags from Wynyard.

I can't speak highly enough of Sal and her team. Although usually we only need the occasional dog walk, we're always treated with the same friendly, first class care and attention as regular customers. We've just had our first long weekend away in years, confidently leaving dog, cats and home in Sal's safe-keeping - and you can't put a price on that kind of peace of mind. In any case, the service is incredibly reasonable; it would certainly have cost far more to put Bryan, Jeffrey and George into kennels and catteries, they wouldn't have been together (which would have really distressed them as they've never been apart or away from home), their routines would have been disrupted and, at the end of a long, exhausting journey, we would have had to run around collecting them from their various locations before we could relax. Instead, we walked in to settled, contented pets, a cheery word from Sal before she dashed off to her next assignment and were able to unwind over a cup of tea.

Sally-Ann and David run an amazingly efficient, incredibly friendly and innovative service for people like me who need help with our doggies. Petpals provide a great service! We have a 7 month old beagle that loves his walks with petpals, he has made lots of new friends! It is great to come back from work and read what he has been up to on his walk. They are very flexible and if I need a walk changing to a different date it is never a problem. They have also lent us a crate to stop our naughty beagle from chewing through everything in our house, they are fantastic!

I love my walkies with Sallyann and her team! I get to play with lots of other doggies and get to socialise with doggies which I wouldn't otherwise meet. I've stayed wtih Sallyann and her family for my holidays last year and had a wonderful time! I've even asked my owner to ask if I can go again this year. Being a doggy that likes to play, get lots of cuddles and feel safe I'm so pleased my owner contacted Sallyann. I even had a poorly leg last year and Sallyann was fantastic helping to look after me.

Finding out about Petpals and meeting Sally Ann and some of her carers has been the best thing that has happened since we got our dog. Care can be sorted at very short notice, and all the families Kal has stayed with have been fantastic. We used Sally Ann (Petpals Darlington) to visit our 3 cats, 1 rabbit and fish while we were on holiday. It was so nice to relax by the pool knowing that someone was regularly visiting our home and cats. It was fabulous to return home to a day by day log that was left for us and a wee gift, especially as we have a painfully shy cat who even he seemed to take to a "stranger" visiting him. We'd like to say a big, big thankyou for such a wonderful service and we will definitely be using Sally Ann and her fab team again!!

The service that Darlington pet pals provide my 2 dogs is 1st class. We have 2 King Charles spaniel's one 8 months and one 6 months old. We have used Sal and her team's services since August 2008 and the team have tailored our walks and visits to suit our dogs. For an example of how great the service is, when our eldest king Charles got his new friend in November 08 and she was not able to go out doors, a puppy visit was combined with a walk for our older dog so that he didn't go without. Also the puppy service that the team offers is such a life line, When we got our King Charles in August we had 3 weeks of work and then the wrench of going back to work and leaving our baby was eased knowing that Sal was coming in twice a day to complete a puppy visit.

Now both our dogs are seen to by pet pals 3-4 times a week, the walks help them to learn to be social with other dogs and humans, We also love to read the daily diary that is kept for the dogs when we come home from work. The dogs know and love Sal to bits, when we visit Sal at her home they drag us up to the front door and when Sal visits the house there little tails polish my wooden floor a treat.

This is a service that we could not do without as it allows us to have a working life and the love and joy of still having our dogs without them being left alone all day.. Also I would like to say a massive thanks to Sal for the short notice visits that she has done for us over the last few weeks. No request ever seems to be a problem. We have complete peace of mind with this service and will use the service for many years to come. We would highly recommend you and your team to anyone who is thinking of using a dog walker/pet sitter. Again, A massive thank you.

Debbie has walked my dog Grace 3-4 times a week since April. I have never had a complaint to make. Grace really seems to enjoy playing with her 'friends' and I like to read what she's been up to. Last Sunday 17 April 2011 our dog Whiskey became unwell. Don't know if it was something he had eaten or picked up while he was out, but he was not eating or drinking and looked very sorry for himself. His tummy was grumbling and he was sick. We took him to the vets on the Tuesday and he prescribed antibiotics. On Wednesday Debbie comes to collect Whiskey for his weekly walk, but I texted her before I went to work to ask if she would check on him and if possible take him to her home to keep an eye on him while me and my husband were out at work. She collected him at 11.30 and kept him till I got home and called her to bring him back home. He had enjoyed being with her dogs and looked better when he got home. Just want to say thanks Debbie for putting our minds at rest while we were at work. Whiskey means so much to us and has taken to you as if you are part of the family. My dog Whiskey, who is a rescue dog, had his first walk with Debbie on Wednesday 06 April, and enjoyed it very much, cause he was worn out and fast asleep when I got home. Thanks for the pictures of him on his walk, it is very reassuring to see him enjoying his walk.

We left Casper with Debbie at Doncaster she collected him on a Friday and brought him back Monday we where very pleased and supriused to get a text everyday letting us know how Casper was and when he returned he was very happy and had obviously enjoyede the experiance we will be using the service again and have already booked his next holiday

My Dog Gracie (9 months old) has just spent 2 weeks with her new friends Debbie,Jack Charlie & Molly Ive got to say i was a bit worried at first as i had never used this kind of service before (and i,ve got to admit was in 2 minds as to whether i could go on holiday and enjoy it knowing i,d left Gracie) but my fears soon disappeared on meeting Debbie who has been exellent going above and beyond to ensure i was aware Gracie had settled in, needless to say i did enjoy my holiday Gracie Definatley enjoyed her stay (I have pictures of her playing with her new friends and making herself at home at Debbies which Debbie sent to me via e-mail) I would definatley recommend Petpals Doncaster without any hesitation.

Archie is a regular client of Petpals. Debbie's home is his 'second' home. I would thoroughly recommend Debbie, she has walked Archie for me when I was at work, and he stays with her when I go on holiday. Archie is a much loved pet, but I nevger give him a thought when I am away because I know that he is being well cared for. Debbie also does a home visit and feeds my Cockatiel. I have booked them both in for this year, and also for March of 2012.

Petpals provide a first class service for our area in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. They are very reliable and professional and we would never hesitate to recommend them. Our two cats are able to stay in the comfort of their own home when we go away and we are assured in the knowledge that they are given every attention possible - so much better than a cattery. Petpals attention to detail is great - an event log is filled out each day which is useful to refer to, and it is good to know that someone is going into the house each day for security. Petpals in Grantham provide a professional and reliable service which helps us to give our dog the best possible care in our hectic lifestyle. My lights in shining in armour - well waterproofs and walking boots! When we found Grantham Petpals we could not believe our luck. Ginny was our saviour. My dear mother suddenly became terribly ill in 2008 and into a nursing home.I live in London and Buster, her adored cat, was alone in Grantham. All enquires as what to do directed me to Ginny at Petpals. She is an angel; knowledgable, kindness itself, practical, honest, reliable and never made me feel a nuisance whenever I needed to know how he was. Ginny collected the post and even offered to re direct it to me.She was my life line and kept my mother's house secure checking locks and sorting the lights. Most wonderfully , just before my mother died, she encouraged me to take Buster to the nursing home and taught me a brilliant way to get him into his basket.It made my mother's day. After her death Ginny helped hugely in trying to find a new home for Buster and was ready to vet any offers out as I was in London. Buster is now happy as can be living near his old home with his new mum, Super Sue! I would definitely recommend Petpals for your precious pet, whatever your needs.You will have

I have been using Petpals since it started in our area, about 9 years ago. They have alway been professional and treated my chinchilla brilliantly, despite him being pretty cheeky character at times! The team who now run the Hinckley office have been especially accomodating, especially in light of my pets health being abit unpredicable in the past few years. I have complete confidence when I go away, knowing that Sally and the team will look after my pet to the same high degree as I would myself; and spot any changes to his health if he is not well - which is exactly what I require and which puts my mind at ease when I am away. A couple of times I have been on holiday and my pet has been poorly, and Sally has handled the situation brilliantly in my abscence. I recommend Petpals to anyone I know who needs peace of mind whilst they are away.

I have just had my little dog Kiki home-boarded with Sally at Hinckley Pet Pals. May I say I could not be more delighted with the extremely high level of care and devlotion given to Kiki. She came back to me a very happy and content dog, and developed a close bond with Sally who really does have a magical way with animals. I have found Petpals very easy to use. It meant that our elderly pets, 2 dogs and a cat did not have to have the disruption of spending time in kennels. They were able to have the reassurance of being able to spend the time whilst we were away in familiar surroundings. I would recommend Petpals services as a great stress reliever to both owners and pets because of their reliable service.

I felt happy to leave Gemma at a carers home. She was well looked after and very well walked, I had text messages during the week to let me know she was ok. I am really pleased with the care that Gemma received whilst we were away and would recommend it to anyone :-).

I don't know how we would manage without the help of Petpals. The family lead busy lives and it's not always possible for us to walk Millie during the day, so Petpals offer a great service and we are always happy and able to provide extra help if needed. I started using the Petpals dog walking service in January this year and am delighted with the service offered. My needs are very varied from week to week and can change at short notice and Petpals have always been totally flexible. The service is very personal and I feel that the dog walkers genuinely care about my dogs welfare. I feel total confidence leaving my dogs ion the care of Petpals.

I have found Petpals to be a reliable and invaluable service. Although I have not had to use them on a regular basis, I have always been given help when needed and received a great service. My dog absolutely loves Helen who has looked after her both on adhoc visits to walk her and also when I have gone away. She is looked after like one of their own pets. I would recommend Petpals to anyone. It's useful on a day to day basis but also when going on holiday; it's so much nicer than sending them to the kennels.

Melissa has been walking our dogs Phoebe and Pierre for the last 2 years, she has always provided a reliable and safe service. Pierre always a very nervous dog took to Melissa and really looked forward to his walks. We started using Melissa when we first got our 2 cats, Ronnie and Reggie in 2006, and she proved to be an absolute godsend. We often gave very short notice of an intention to seek warmer shores and Melissa never let us down. She always went the extra mile and in addition to making sure that the cats were fed and watered she also made sure that the house looked lived in - so curtains would be open and closed, lights turned on etc. So Melissa provided much more than pet care and made the house appear occupied. Melissa is absolutely trustworthy, reliable, honest and professional. We now live abroad and realise how spoilt we were by having someone like Melissa to look after cats and home. Please start a franchise in France!!

Bill (Great Dane) and Maggie (Heinz 57) will miss their walks with Melissa. A year ago when we brought them back to the UK from Spain they were not used to socializing with other dogs and, as we lived on farmland, had rarely been walked on leads. One year on they are very well adjusted to life in England. Melissa comes to our house, takes the dogs for a good walk with others in a small group, wipes their paws on their return and doesn't forget to give them (and the cat!) a treat. No wonder Bill and Maggie are always delighted to see her, should we meet Melissa on one of our walks with them. Melissa is extremely conscientious and this has given us tremendous peace of mind when we can not be home to walk our dogs ourselves. We are moving house shortly and unfortunately will be out of Melissa's area, but she has arranged for another walker from Petpals to take over. Melissa of Petpals Hook has been a lifesaver on many occasions, arranging home boarding for our collie with one of her team, Colin Webster. Colin is a true animal lover and we have no hesitation at all in recommending him to you. We don't know what we would have done without Colin and we thank Melissa for arranging all the home stays. We are sad to say that we are moving away from the area and we can only hope that we find a pet carer as committed and trustworthy as Colin Webster.

Melissa of Petpals Hook has been cat sitting for our two cats now for nearly three years. We really value the service Melissa provides. Not only is it reassuring to know the cats are in good hands, but she also keeps an eye on the house whilst we are away. To be honest we don't really want to leave her but unfortunately we are moving house! She is also very efficient and organised invoicing on time and responding to texts, calls and emails and nothing ever seems too much trouble including last minute request. We were looking for an alternative to putting our cat in a cattery whilst on holiday, as the one and only time we did it stressed her greatly. We have used Petpals for about 5 years since we first 'found' our black labrador Sydney. Sydney had been abandoned by his previous owner and afther the initial honeymoon period he became quite destructive. Not only did Petpals support us with helpful tips and training techniques but they also became part of our lives. Syd is walked daily by petpals and he also boards when we're away. It's a weight off our minds to know that he is cared for in a great environment with furry friends around him when we're not here. We couldn't function without them!!

Angie and Jane have cared for Levi for the past 3 years. I will never be able to thank them enough for all the times they have helped us cope with Levi, through every week and holidays and extra days at short notice, it is never a problem for Levi to be fitted in very short notice. I'm sure this is not easy to rearrange and am amazed at how Angie always knows my phone number and is always a delight to speak to and will always sort something out. Levi was a rescue dog and was terrified of other dogs and this would not have been easy for Petpals to manage with other dogs yet through their patience he is now so much happier, sociable and friendly. Mark and I constantly say how lucky we were to get Jane and Angie as their constant encouragement has completely turned Levi around and it has been an absolute pleasure to see Levi grow in confidence and now to see him socialise with other dogs that would have chased and picked on him. We initially took Levi to dog training locally where a police dog handler could do nothing with him and despaired of Levi which left us wondering what we were going to do and what we had let ourselves in for, then with Petpals they took all the stress away with great advice and regular walks and lots of patience so now we have an even more lovely Levi as he has become so much more confident with Petpals. We are moving to London shortly and Jane has always helped us with great advice regarding Levi and his crate and we know that we will all really miss Jane and hope when we return Petpals will have space for Levi again. One last thing - in these days of rushing and charging about it is such a relief to know that Levi is being cared for - Petpals have been our 4th emergency service and it has meant such a lot to us. Hi there Pet Pals, I want to take this opportunity to say that I have just used Pet Pals for the very first time and need to convey what a first class service I have experienced . This was with the York branch and I had the pleasure of dealing with Angela Parrish. I was impressed by the way Angela visited our house first hand to familiarise herself with everything and it was immediately obviously she was naturally a pet friendly and caring person. I think I need to add that I have always worried about my pets when away (to the detriment of my holidays) and although I could have rung Angela to see how they were, I opted not too such was my confidence in Angela's capabilities. Ten days later we returned to two happy, clean and content pets, who'd clearly been provided with both mainstream and fresh food as required, but whose food bowls had been scroupulously washed and not a trace of waste to be seen. Katrina looked after our 9 yr old dog Tom at her home whilst we were away at Easter! I very rarely leave him at all unless it is with my daughter(she was away also) as Tom has an eye condition and needs drops and cream twice a day. Katrina was not at all bothered by this and was very professioal in her approach. Tom loved her and was very sad to say goodbye to Katrina and her dogs Kimm and Holly! Thank you so much Katrina.

As previous customers of Petpals I knew what a wonderful service they can provide, so I was very happy to see that Katrina had started up a new franchise for the Lichfield area. I have three cats, a 'golden oldie' who craves company, and two who started life as semi feral - so special cases really! Just meeting Katrina put me at ease with leaving them for a week, and I had every confidence, knowing that they could be left in caring hands and able to just be themselves in their own environment. Regular text messages while we were away helped a great deal while I was missing them, and we returned to happy, healthy cats. Knowing that their care is just a quick call away from someone who understands them and will get to know them better and better over time is wonderful, and I would highly recommend it to all pet owners.

In February 2011, we left our two English Springer Spaniel Pups (9 months old) for a long weekend with Katrina and her family. We were very apprehensive, not only because we had never left them before, but also because they are very lively and somewhat boisterous. So much so that we were still using crates for them at home overnight and, also, if we were out for any length of time. Katrina was very confident and reassuring and our two dogs loved her, her own two dogs and her garden. They were shattered when we brought them home ! Katrina has, not only taken the very best care of our dogs, she has given us the confidence to put the crates away and handle the chaos properly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Katrina to any dog owner, she was just amazing and we will definitely be using her again whenever the need arises. A dog is a massive commitment but now we know, if we need help with them both over their lifetime, we have that help on hand. Thank you so much from us all, especially George and Harry !

Emma Jane walked my dog Baxter for nearly 7 years and we couldn't have been happier. Emma-Jane has walked my dog since she was a puppy, starting with short walks, progressing to longer off lead group walks. Emma-Jane has always found a solution when illness has prevented my dog joining the usual walks. She is totally reliable, trustworthy and prioritises the safety of the dogs she walks and the people she meets while walking. Best of all, my dog loves her!

I thought having a dog would be easier when we retired, paradoxically it's not; with no need to be in a particular place at a particular time our lifestyle has become much more erratic. Emma Jane has been a god-send. Although I try not to make a habit of it, I know I can phone her at a day or so's notice and she will always see to Henry for me. She's been looking after him on an occasional basis since he was tiny and he loves her to bits. One un-expected bonus is that my husband, who's very zealous about security, has no qualms about her letting herself into the house and locking up again when she leaves. Not only do I not have to worry about the dog, but I get no complaints from my other half when I say E-J is looking after Henry - what could be better than that! She's always willing to share her agility expertise too. Thanks E-J

I am very fussy about my dogs, so when I met Emma Jane and got to know her well, I was so relieved, as now my Pet Care problems were over! I can leave them for Emma Jane to walk and not worry about them again, knowing they have had a good romp in the woods. They always have fun and go crazy when they see Emma Janes Petpals van !! To them it means one thing FUN ! We have also used their Home Boarding. My dogs slept for a day on our return, as they had played so much with the other dogs and had lovely walks whilst in Emma Janes care. Much nicer than Kennels!! Thank you for all your help Emma Jane

We recommend Tina to everyone we know. She cares about our cats and knows what she's doing so we don't worry about them while we are away. She gives any medication necessary, which has included injections in the past and clears up any rodent corpses or cat sick. When we get back the cats are relaxed and happy. Brilliant value for money.

When we decided to buy a dog (never having had one before), we thought it would be relatively simple to find a local dog-walker to take him out when we couldn't be at home. As soon as we got him and he became part of our family, we realised this choice was going to be almost as important as finding the right nursery for our daughter when she was small!!!! How do you leave your little puppy behind when you have to go out? Especially when he gazes up at you with big brown eyes that say "don't leave me!" Well, I can tell you now, it's easy! Call Tina! Right from the first moment we all met, I knew this was right. Our puppy loves Tina as much as he loves us! He goes crazy with delight when her van arrives, and he doesn't even look back when she takes him away! (I suppose that should upset me!!) On a walk recently, we saw Tina's empty van parked nearby, and our dog was really upset when he couldn't find her! Tina goes out of her way to help us and advise us, which, for a first time dog owner, is invaluable, and we thoroughly recommend her to anyone who owns a pet. Ron walked my dog, Monkey, 5 days a week for over 2 years. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ron. I always knew Monkey was well cared for and had a fantastic day with Ron and his buddies. Monkey waited anxiously at the door daily and I know it was the highlight of his day. We recently relocated to the US, and only wish I could have brought Ron with us.

We are so grateful to Ron for having Deacon at such short notice, he had a fabulous time and was a little sad to leave. What a great service - thank you.

Geoff and Jayne have been looking after Lily since I adopted her as a puppy three years ago - they have been AMAZING!!! They genuinely care for all the dogs they look after and ensure they recieve lots of love and attention. Lily loves them as much as they love her...I only have to say "Geoff's coming" to her and she's straight to the front door, tag wagging madly. I wouldn't hesitate in highly recommending Geoff and Jayne for all aspects of pet care...from walking, house visits and holiday boarding.

Huge thanks to Mike at Petpals Mansfield for taking such good care of our 11 dogs (2 Chocolate Labradors, 7 Chihuahuas and 2 Chiweenies) over the last week! His time, care and attention to our much loved pets enabled us to relax and enjoy our holiday. He got to know each of our dogs individually and could describe each of their unique personalities. He gave regular updates and feedback when we called and we were impressed with the high level of care our pets received from Mike. Our chocolate Labradors get excited when they see Mike, because they have really enjoyed him taking them for extra long walks! I would like to thank Mike and his team for baling my golden retreiver Magic out at very short notice. We were intending on taking her away with us but I broke my wrist a couple of weeks beforehand and hubby had bad back. The cottage we stayed in was supposed to be dog proof so when we saw this peacock strutting its stuff in the garden we realised that feathers dog would be in the next county within minutes! Magic's host, Sue, gave her the dream holiday, with her own two young spaniels, all three were around the same age! On Magic's return she was 'out cold' for the best part of thirty six hours: so, much energy,walking ( and I gather baths !), eating sleeping and dreaming must have been the order of the day. I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to mike and the petpals team for the time they have given our boys over the lest 3 years 6 mth, bolt the labrador and rosh the rottie. After a long time of being in and out of hospital. I just wanted to say Thank You to Mike and the team at Mansfield Pet Pals for looking after Lexie over the last 3 years. Mike has been 100% reliable, even in bad weather. He also did extra walks for Lexie when I was in hospital after an accident. Lexie was always in safe hands right from the first walk with Mike and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs regular and reliable dog walking. Both Margaret and myself very much appreciate all the time and hard work he put in to looking after Lexie and the only reason we can't have Mike to walk Lexie now is that I have moved out of his franchise area. Wanted to say another big thanks to Mike and all at Mansfield Petpals for the love & care that they always give to our westie Monty.He loves his weekly walks with the other dogs and regularly stays with Mike or Malc.He loves going to stay with Malc who loves him as much as we do,knows his funny little habits and is treated as one of the family.We wouldn't want to leave Monty with anyone else and I would recommend Mike and his team to anyone that wants their little treasure looked after and cared for properly. Mike (Mansfield petpals) has walked my dacshund for about a year now, but unfortunately we have moved out of his catchment area, much to the disgust of my very disgruntled dog, so can no longer do so, and George has to settle for just me. George loved going for his walks with Mike and all his other doggy buddies, and i always felt happy that George was being well looked after and having a fantastic time on his walk. I would recommend Mike @ Petpals anyday, as he has been a lifesaver for me on many occasions, walking George at short notice and even in the blizzards we had in December. I never worried about George in the slightest whilst he was with Mike, as i knew he was safe and loved. George misses you lots and we would both like to say a HUGE thank you for all the joy that you brought to him on his walks. Paul and his team have been walking my Labrador, Bertie, since he was a puppy. I completely trust them to look after my dog and return him happy and exhausted! Paul has without fail helped me out when work committments have changed at short notice. Paul offers an excellent, professional but very caring dog walking service and I would highly recommend him.

I cannot recommed Paul enough. I have previously boarded my 'baby' a miniture dachshunt in Kennels which left her and myself traumatised. I was very nervous at first, but after a initial visit i left her while i went on holiday. I came back to a very happy hound. I now use Pauls services regularly and Missy loves going to visit. The minitue she realises where we are she starts wagging her tail and looking for him. And i beleive she follows him round everywhere. I sometimes think she prefers it there than at home with me. I am moving out the area (Paul will be sitting for me while i move), but will continue to use Paul whenever i need a sitter. Thanks so much to Paul for a 1st Class service!!

Paul & his team are brilliant! Initially Paul used to walk my cavalier (George)on a twice weekly basis until we moved away - but I still use Paul to board George and our new Cav Callie whenever we go away! Its just so much safer than entrusting them to our kids!!! Cannot recommend Paul highly enough - reliable, safe, trustworthy - and he cares!! What more can a dog-owner want when looking for someone to look after their "kids"!!

Paul and his team have been walking our German Shepherd for 3 uears now, and have borded him twice. They are excellent, by far the best service I have used by some margin. Always come home to a tired happy dog.

WOW! I first added to this site on meeting Paul for the first time, maybe now a year ago, since then he or his wonderful staff have walked my German Shepherd during my working periods, I have now for the last 11 days boarded him with Paul & Bev, I just cannot believe the service that they have offered, he was collected & returned to me in DEEP snow, he is one very happy dog, whom has slept for 24hrs on return, to me that means that he has been more than well cared for. I have until now sent him to a 5* dog hotel, BUT, this boarding was far supieror. If you wish your 'baby' to be happy on hols & are in the Surrey area, then send him to Paul & Bev, because they go the extra mile to adore your pet. We were very apprehensive about leaving our greyhound Skye in someone else's care for a day - we know him so well and how would he get on with a virtual stranger? We certainly needn't have worried! Paul arranged for Colin to visit us before the planned care-day, and after a brief introduction Skye just lay down quietly. Colin made us feel at ease too! When we arrived home after the Big Day, we found a re-assuring note from Colin that everything had gone well, and a very happy and relaxed Skye. A big THANK YOU to Colin and Petpals Mole Valley, and we will definitely ask for your help again in the future.

I have a rescue cat Maisie, who is an indoor cat. At 7 years old when I got her, she was quite nervous and I wasn't too sure of her previous treatment. I had already booked a holiday and, at the time, didn't know about Petpals. I booked her into a Cattery for two weeks and I'm still not sure who was more traumatised by the process - her or me! I knew when I came back and picked her up that I would not be going on holiday again soon. That was until I met Paul. I did an Internet search for pet sitting and after trawling through many pages and rejecting lots of places, I found just what I was looking for. Initially, I was nervous about giving my front door key to a virtual stranger, but Paul is just such a nice guy; quiet and polite and immediately makes you feel comfortable. Maisie seemed to take to him to which was the important thing. I have been using Paul now for a couple of years and it is absolutely brilliant. I have recommended him to friends snd I know now that I can go away on holiday with complete peace of mind. Not only is Maisie well-cared for in the comfort of her own home, but I know that someone is in the property every day, which adds to the security when you are away. Mark from Petpals has been feeding my cats when I am away for more than two years now. He has been relaxed about crushing up pills and occasionally cleaning up after a very elderly cat and has always been a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Petpals

We recently went away on holiday leaving our 9 month old cat Squeak staying with the vet with complications arising from an abcess. Her sister Bubble was now without Squeak and us. Mark and Lucy of Norwich Petpals looked after Bubble, liased with the vet, returned Squeak home and dealt with her follow up care at the vet's. We were in regular email contact with Mark and Lucy who were able to reassure us that all was well. We relaxed knowing that they would know what to do and returned to two happy bouncy cats!

Our puppy Lotte has been looked after by Mark and Lucy since she was a little puppy. She is incredibly fond of them and practically combusts with excitement when she sees them. She has made some gorgeous doggy friends on her days out with them and always comes home happy and tired! Mark and Lucy are incredibly kind, thoughtful, flexible and conscienscious. We could not ask for a better service. They are very important to all of us. I cannot reccomend them enough.

Mark and Lucy walk our labrador and cocker spaniel and both dogs enjoy their walks. I highly recommend them and agree with the other comments. They provide a caring and professional service and we are very grateful.

It was obvious kipper our 1 year old border collie really enjoyed his 2 week stay with Paul at Petpals, as Kipper seemed rather reluctant to leave Pauls van when it was time for him to come home! Paul is marvellous and his service great!! would recommend him to everyone.

I used petpals for the very first time last month ( my first experience of any petsitting service!) and they are excellent. Paul was not phased in the slightest looking after my 6 cats, dragon, budgie, and fish!! All were so well cared for when i came back it makes going away a lot easier!

We used the service on the 31st January for the second time, and once again we were not dissapointed. Paul was great with our 2 german shepherds and we arrived home to find 2 very happy dogs. i used petpals for the first time in october, i was very anxious about leaving rory our 15 month old lab for the first time as he is used to lots of attention. paul at pet pals was really good with him, rory came back a happy dog. it was obvious he had been very settled and well cared for during the two weeks we were away.i have already booked for rory to go back to petpals when we go away in the summer.i would recommend pet pals to all my family and friends.

Jean looked after our diabetic cat a few weekends ago. We came home to a happy contented cat who had clearly been really well looked after. She also re assured us with some text messages letting us know how he was getting on! We will certainly be using her services again.

Jean has popped in on our Lab 'Lucy-Loop' a couple of times a week since we got her. The socialisation Lucy gets on walks with Jean and a variety of other dogs has really helped her development. Lucy clearly loves Jean. Our two rabbits Harry and Daisy also took a shine to her last week when we were on holiday! Jean provides an excellent service, even when requests are last-minute, and we would reccommend her to family and friends. She offers brilliant advice and support and clearly loves all animals.

Our dog Bella, first stayed with Jean for a weekend when she was 4 months old where she had a great experience playing with other dogs, good walks etc. Since then she has had her for another weekend and recently she had a 10 day stay. Each time we find that she has had a great time and also her behaviour seems to improve on each occasion. Jean is brilliant and I feel totally happy leaving Bella with her. Her knowlege and care for her animals is first class. Looking forward to end of May when she has her next stay. Thanks!

I have just been on the website to see a photo of my retriever Bertie having fun with 5 friends yesterday in the water. It is nice to see what he gets up to!!. Caroline and Jean have helped to look after him since he was a puppy and they are wonderful - always thinking of something fun for him to do - and getting through (and on with it!) whatever the weather. Using petpals to supplement his walks from us has made him a really sociable dog and he is a credit to them. We all love pet pals .
