We have built an excellent reputation for providing dog walking, home sitting, pet sitting and pet taxi services. Pet Sitting is particularly popular as an alternative to kennels and catteries for holidays and business trips.

Matt and Maria who have lived in West Dorset since 1998, have had dogs, cats, rabbits and hamsters and currently are thrilled with Hannah, a rescue dog from Ireland. She is 2 years old and also a rejected Hearing Dog For The Deaf because of her allergies.

‘Living by the coast helps to ease Hannahs pollen allergies that irritate her skin. Since bringing her here to West Dorset over a year ago she has never had an outbreak ’ says Maria, ‘We love her to bits and she is spoilt rotten!’

Petpals provide a friendly, professional and fully insured pet care service tailored to suit your individual needs.

The Petpals team are all dedicated pet lovers and are proud of our customer satisfaction record - references are available on request or see for yourself at this independent site www.localpetpeople.com.

 

Qualify for Free Pet Care Assessment

Before we can start to care for your pets, we need to carry out a pet care assessment at your home. This usually takes about half an hour. We are currently offering this assessment visit for free, so get in touch while this offer lasts! Once this is complete you can be confident that we will be able to give your pets the love, care and attention they require while you are away.

 

Dedicated Dog Walking and Companionship

We provide a bespoke service of walking, exercise and companionship. Although flexible to your requirement our pricing is for visits of up to an hour, which is usually plenty (especially if they like playing with other dogs and/or chasing a ball!). Our fees include complementary home care services, travelling and time with your pet. Our van has professionally installed individual safety cages and is Pet Welfare approved.

 

For the safety of your pets, other dogs and members of the public, we avoid walking more than four dogs together.

 

At-Home Pet Visits for Cats and Small Domestic Pets

Our charges are for up to 4 pets and include our complementary home-care services, travelling and time with your pet.

For regular Dog or At-Home visits we will keep a key safely in our key cabinet, there is a nominal annual charge for this, which will be included in your first invoice. (We will waive this charge in the 1st year).

 

Home Boarding

Family home boarding is where your dog stays with one of our dedicated pet carers. Unlike kennels we are flexible on drop off and pick up times (within reason!) and can provide a Pet Welfare approved Pet Taxi (ask about charges) if required.

Your dog(s) will be treated as one of the family and have all the exercise, love and cuddles they are used to, a home from home.

Home boarding is not suitable for all dogs, and the pet care assessment is usually done at the home of the carer to ensure that all parties are happy with the arrangements.

 

Home & Pet Sitting

In addition to caring for all your pets, we also look after your home. Home sitting is proven as an effective deterrent against domestic theft. We will bring in post and any free newspapers on a daily basis. We can also water plants and put out the dustbin on collection day. Our home sitting service can be tailored to your individual needs.

Your pets and property would not be left for longer than four hours per day. The fee is inclusive of a small grocery allowance for the sitter.

Please note there would also be travel expenses and if required payment for an assessment visit also to include travel. Minimum stay of 3 days.

‘Last Sunday’ Walk

On the last Sunday of every month Matt & Maria of Petpals host a Dog Walk usually at a West Dorset landmark. It is a great opportunity to socialise dogs and have a chat with local dog owners on a Sunday morning.
