Welcome to Petpals Tyne Valley

Carl & Elaine Wolfenden operate their family Petpals pet sitting business from Prudhoe in Northumberland and cover the areas from, Hexham in the West of Northumberland to Newcastle upon Tyne in the East, and through to Consett in the South of the area. Including many towns and villages, within this area of the Northumberland and North East of England.

Over the years Carl & Elaine have had experience of caring for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, various tropical and cold water fish, rats, rabbits, hamsters, exotic pets and birds to name but a few. They also volunteer their services to the Independent Weimaraner Rescue & Re-homing Service, for which Carl in the Area Officer for the Region.

At Petpals we are fully trained, insured. Our pet sitting services are flexible and can be tailored to your pet’s individual needs. Our pet sitting and pet boarding services include, dog sitting, dog walking, home visits for cats and small pets, puppy care, elderly dog care, home visits for dogs, home sitting, cat sitting and a pet taxi and pet to vet service.

Carl is a registered pet sitter, police checked and insured, who has completed training in the following:

• Pet Handling and restraint
• Behaviour, intelligence and socialisation
• First Aid
• Care of Older Pets
• Pet Sanitation
• Micro-chipping

Pet Care, Pet Sitting, Pet Boarding and Dog Walking Service offered by Petpals Tyne Valley

• Dog Walking

  Making use of the many areas found locally, our dog walking aims to give your dog a stimulating and enjoyable walk in a safe environment. These can be individual visits for your dog(s) and or multi walks, with up to four dogs at a time transported in our purpose fitted vehicles.

• Puppy and Elderly Dog Visits

  Our puppy and elderly pet care service offers you units of time during the day to visit your dog(s) at home. During the visit we walk your dog or puppy, play, and if required help with ongoing training, toileting breaks, etc., along with, of course, lots of TLC.

• Dog Boarding and Pet Boarding

  We offer a pet boarding and pet care experience where your dog can stay in the home of one of our carefully selected, dedicated carers. You will be given the opportunity to meet the pet boarding carer before you go away and to see where your pet will be staying. When your dog stays with a Petpals approved family they are treated as one of the family with all the usual sights, sounds and smells of family life, but best of all they will receive all the love, cuddles and attention they deserve!

• Cat Visits

  Petpals Tyne Valley have proven to be very popular with clients that want to leave their cats at home in there own environment, with familiar comforts and smells, particularly with elderly cats and cats that need medication. Our cat sitting service allows clients to go away safe in the knowledge that Petpals Tyne Valley are visiting their cats to feed, clean litter trays if required, play, along with lots of TLC.

• Home Sitting

  Our home based pet sitting service is a real alternative to kennels, your pets can remain in their own familiar surroundings, with their own routines and food while you are away.

• Small Pets and Exotics

  Petpals Tyne Valley also have varied experience in caring for small pets and exotics and are happy to provide home visits for these types of pets too.

• Pet Taxi

  Petpals Tyne Valley are equipped with pet friendly vehicles fitted with specially designed safety cages of various sizes with a vet bed on top of removable rubber matting for hygiene. We can transport everything from small pets and cats to giant dog breeds such as Pyreneans. We can also help with trips to the vets.

  We've just returned from holiday and our first experience with Petpals. We really liked the idea of leaving our cats in their own surroundings and Carl visited every day to feed and clean their litters. We came back to 4 thoroughly happy cats.   I was very pleased with the efficient and friendly service provided to myself and my 3 cats while i went away on a recent holiday. The company is very professional in both image and during the conduct of business and i had no cause for concern at anytime either while i was away or when i returned.
