Following the success of Petpals Tees Valley, a new Petpals area has been launched. Petpals Stockton owned and operated by myself, Christine Duncan.
As a former Petpals customer, who was very happy with the level of care given to my 'pet family' and someone whose work career has been training and caring for animals for many years, it was a perfect fit when the opportunity to open Petpals Stockton came across my path.
I qualified as a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor in 1985 and have worked throughout Great Britain providing training and support to blind and visually impaired owners and their dogs. This was a very rewarding career and it was a privilege to be part of the process in establishing the unique bond between a Guide Dog Owner and their dog. A particular highlight was being involved in training the first school child in the area with his Guide Dog. I also have professional accreditation in horsemanship, horse riding and breeding. I am a qualified BHSAI and BHS Stud Assistant having also worked for the Riding for the Disabled Association
I have owned and cared for many pets including horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, tortoises, and 'pet lambs'. I am presently the very proud owner of Carter, a beautiful cross breed, Ted a very cute Yorkshire Terrier, and two gorgeous cats (sisters) adopted from the cat orphanage. As a pet owner myself, I fully understand how important the special bond is between owners and their cherished pets and how crucial it is to have complete trust in who you choose to look after your pets.
The demands of work, family and friend commitments barely leaves time for yourself let alone allow time to take your dog for the nice long walk they need and enjoy. At Petpals Stockton I can help alleviate some of the time pressures of your busy life by taking care of your dogs exercise and socialisation needs, leaving you free to take care of everything else, including yourself.
I will ensure that your dog has a stimulating and enjoyable adventure with other like minded four-legged friends, in a safe environment. If however, a group walk does not suit your dog then I can offer solo walks giving your dog the same amount of stimulation and adventure, ensuring you return home to a tired, but happy dog.
I also offer small animal visits, the puuurfect alternative to a cattery I will visit your cat in your home whilst you are away. I can feed your cat, clean litter trays, play with and of course give plenty of TLC enabling you to leave your cat in its familiar environment, and so minimising stress.
