Hi I’m Victoria, your local Petpals. I completed on the resale of Petpals Southampton in January 2009. I worked along side the previous owner for 2 months before I took over, giving me the opportunity to meet our existing furry friends and to familiarise myself with the Petpals way.

I have lived in Southampton most of my life apart from a 3 year spell in Liverpool where I met my two best friends, Bailey and Jake. Bailey is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross and Jake is a Border Collie, both were rescue dogs from Dogs Trust Merseyside. We all live happily together back in Southampton now.

I have also had experience caring for cats, hamsters, rats, fish and birds.

My previous jobs have been customer focused; restaurant, hotel reception, cabin crew and car hire management. I now have this fabulous opportunity to pursue a career with animals, which have always been a love of mine.

I will be continuously furthering my knowledge with training on pet first aid, handling and behaviour.

We take great care in understanding your pet’s routine and environment. We have built an excellent reputation for providing dog walking, house sitting and cat visits as an alternative to kennels & catteries. Local vets regularly recommend our pet sitting services.

At Petpals we are fully trained, insured and police checked. Our pet sitting services are flexible and can be tailored to your pet's individual needs. Our pet sitting and pet boarding services include, dog sitting, dog walking, dog boarding, home visits for cats and small pets, puppy care, elderly dog care, home visits for dogs, home sitting, cat sitting and a pet taxi and pet to vet service.

In addition to cats and dogs we are able to look after small pets such as rabbits, chinchillas, guinea pigs, birds, fish and exotics. We can supply all leading brands of pet food delivered to your door. We can also administer medication and help with ongoing training needs.

• Dog Walking

  Making use of the many areas found locally, our dog walking aims to give your dog a stimulating and enjoyable walk in a safe environment. These can be individual visits for your dog(s) and or multi walks, with up to four dogs at a time transported in our purpose fitted vehicles.

• Puppy and Elderly Dog Visits

  Our puppy and elderly pet care service offers you units of time during the day to visit your dog(s) at home. During the visit we walk your dog or puppy, play, and if required help with ongoing training, toileting breaks, etc., along with, of course, lots of TLC.

• Dog Boarding and Pet Boarding

  We offer a pet boarding and pet care experience where your dog can stay in the home of one of our carefully selected, dedicated carers. You will be given the opportunity to meet the pet boarding carer before you go away and to see where your pet will be staying. When your dog stays with a Petpals approved family they are treated as one of the family with all the usual sights, sounds and smells of family life, but best of all they will receive all the love, cuddles and attention they deserve!

• Cat Sitting and Cat Visits

  Petpals have proven to be very popular with clients that want to leave their cats at home in there own environment, with familiar comforts and smells, particularly with elderly cats and cats that need medication. Our cat sitting service allows clients to go away safe in the knowledge that Petpals are visiting their cats to feed, clean litter trays if required, play, along with lots of TLC.

• Pet Sitting and Home Sitting

  Our home based pet sitting service is a real alternative to kennels, your pets can remain in their own familiar surroundings, with their own routines and food while you are away.

• Small Pets and Exotics

  Petpals also have varied experience in caring for small pets and exotics and are happy to provide home visits for these types of pets too.

• Pet Taxi

  Petpals are equipped with pet friendly vehicles fitted with specially designed safety cages of various sizes with a vet bed on top of removable rubber matting for hygiene. We can transport everything from small pets and cats to giant dog breeds. We can also help with trips to the vets.

  We would like to thank Victoria and Petpals Southampton for looking after our pet birds (all 8 of them) while away on holiday. Victoria does a marvellous job, and we're really pleased we can leave it in the hands of a professional than risk a neighbour coming in who will not know what to do if a bird escapes or is ill. Victoria and Petpals have helped out many times over the last few years, and it's good to know we have a company we can rely on.

  We've been using PetPals for the last year; during this time they have provided service well above and beyond expectation with walks on an ad-hoc basis to suit our constantly changing shift patterns and even on weekends and bank holidays. The personnel are very pleasant and the best care is taken with our Labrador. On the occasions we have used PetPals for "boarding" Charlie has always returns very happy and well.   I used the Petpals service while going away for a few days, and I could not have been happier with it. The rate was reasonable (£10 per visit for 2 cats) and they even wrote up a visit log for me while I was gone. My cats were also happy with it. 10/10.

  My boy Charlie has been well looked after on his daily walks by Southampton Petpals for over 6 years now. I trust them fully and recently he had a little run in with a Wasp nest whilst out walking and the care that was taken by Victoria and her team to ensure he was ok was outstanding. Charlie loves his daily visits and is always a bit disappointed when I am at home and Victoria does not come round to see him. Meryl

  Had to leave some feedback on how great this service is. Not having to put our cats into a cattery is not only better for the cats, but means its one less thing to worry about before going on holiday ! Cats are always happy and healthy after a trip away. thanks !
