Hi, my name is Debra Gravill and I launched Petpals South Manchester in 2010.

After 23 years of working in the Semiconductor Industry, in 2009 I decided I wanted to change career and with a Petpals franchise I now have the rare opportunity to combine my love of animals and the great outdoors.

My husband, Peter, and I are the proud owners of Solo, a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel, who is always more than happy to have friends around to stay, play & run with. In fact, Solo can be held totally responsible for my introduction to Petpals, as, since a puppy, he was & still is a regular boarding customer of Sarah from Petpals Stockport! I was so impressed with Petpals that I began dog boarding for Sarah; I enjoyed it so much, I jumped at the chance of starting up the South Manchester business.

Over the years I have gained a wide experience of owning a variety of pets from cats, birds, hamsters and rabbits to even breeding chipmunks & of course, there have always been the dogs!

I am looking forward to caring for your pet/s as well as I do my own, and will offer a professional and reliable service at all times - giving you peace of mind while you are away from home.

At Petpals we are fully trained, insured, uniformed and police checked. We are delighted to offer a flexible range of friendly, professional services that can be personally tailored to your requirements and your pet's individual needs. Our pet sitting and pet boarding services include, dog sitting, dog walking, dog boarding, home visits for cats and small pets, puppy care, elderly dog care, home visits for dogs, cat sitting and a pet taxi and pet to vet service.

Pet Care, Pet Sitting, Pet Boarding and Dog Walking Service offered by Petpals South Manchester

• Dog Walking

  Making use of the many areas found locally, our dog walking aims to give your dog a stimulating and enjoyable walk in a safe environment. These can be individual visits for your dog(s) and or multi walks, with up to four dogs at a time transported in our purpose fitted vehicles.

• Puppy and Elderly Dog Visits

  Our puppy and elderly pet care service offers you units of time during the day to visit your dog(s) at home. During the visit we walk your dog or puppy, play, and if required help with ongoing training, toileting breaks, etc., along with, of course, lots of TLC.

• Dog Boarding and Pet Boarding

  We offer a pet boarding and pet care experience where your dog can stay in the home of one of our carefully selected, dedicated carers. You will be given the opportunity to meet the pet boarding carer before you go away and to see where your pet will be staying. When your dog stays with a Petpals approved family they are treated as one of the family with all the usual sights, sounds and smells of family life, but best of all they will receive all the love, cuddles and attention they deserve!

• Cat Sitting and Cat Visits

  Petpals have proven to be very popular with clients that want to leave their cats at home in there own environment, with familiar comforts and smells, particularly with elderly cats and cats that need medication. Our cat sitting service allows clients to go away safe in the knowledge that Petpals are visiting their cats to feed, clean litter trays if required, play, along with lots of TLC.

• Pet Sitting

  Our home based pet sitting service is a real alternative to kennels, your pets can remain in their own familiar surroundings, with their own routines and food while you are away.

• Small Pets and Exotics

  Petpals also have varied experience in caring for small pets and exotics and are happy to provide home visits for these types of pets too.

• Pet Taxi

  Petpals are equipped with pet friendly vehicles fitted with specially designed safety cages of various sizes with a vet bed on top of removable rubber matting for hygiene. We can transport everything from small pets and cats to giant dog breeds. We can also help with trips to the vets.

  I used Petpals for the first time recently to look after my two cats whilst I was on holiday. I was very impressed with Debra's understanding of cats and their quirks! She got a thorough understanding of their likes and dislikes along with their usual behaviours and habits when she came to meet them before I went away. I had total peace of mind and the added bonus of knowing that the cats were happy being looked after in their own environment -thanks for the great service, Roni and Archie are very grateful!

  Well what can I say about Debra who we feel has made our live's so much easier by coming in and walking our dog Oona! Debra really put me at my ease when I first met her and it was really apparent how much she loved dogs! At first Oona was really shy with Debra, but feeling my worry Debra suggested that I went on the first walk with them, and we have never looked back! Oona jumps into the van with a waggy tail two times a week, and I kid you not a very big smile! She loves going out with Debra and Julia and all the gang! They are also ever so helpful on the days that are not Oona's regular days and fit her in if needed! Debra and Julia are certainly Oona's best friends! Thanks ladies for such a fantastic service!!

  Tinky has boarded at Petpals South Manchester on many occasions for both long holidays and short breaks. She is delighted to see Debra, Peter and Solo every time, in fact the reality is she stays with them as a member of their family for the duration of her holiday. We get regular Facebook pictures so we can see the great and usually muddy time she is having on walks with Debra, Solo and the other lovely dogs Debra walks. I have no qualms about leaving Tinky when we go away; I know that she is having as good a time if not better than we are and she is always happy, fit and well when we pick her up at the end of our trip.

  Jarvis is our 15-month old working cocker spaniel. He first went to stay with Debra when he was about 12 weeks old! Whenever we go away I don't worry about whether Jarvis is being looked after because I have complete confidence in Debra. In fact, Jarvis is so happy with her that Debra now walks him four days a week. She is very kind and totally reliable and now when we go away Debra pops in to feed our cat Cindy as well so she can enjoy the run of our house!

  We looked everywhere for a reliable dog walker and I have to say we got much more than that with Debra, she is an absolute star! We had recently adopted an older stray dog and have seen him make great progress, a large part of this is down to his daily walks with Debra and the opportunity she gives him to socialise with other dogs. The service she offers is like nothing else out there...daily report cards, security checks and even pictures of Jake on his daily outings! Debra is clearly passionate about animals and nothing is too much trouble for her. Thanks so much for all of your help and support.

  Debra came to our house to feed our cat Dinger over the Christmas period. It was great to come home to a happy non-stressed cat as she hates travelling and not being at home. Debra also let us know about a problem with our water which was great. Fortunately there were no problems in the end. I would definitely use this service in the future and recommend it to others.   We used Petpals for the first time last week. As soon as we met Debra, we knew we could totally trust her. She was so professional but caring.   We left our 3 cats in the care of Debs while we were away on holiday. We were absolutely delighted with the service provided and the care our "girls" received.   My husband and I didn't like the idea of kennels and wanted to find a homely environment for our much-loved Spaniel-Terrier, Tyler. She stayed with Debbie, Pete and their playful Cocker Spaniel, Solo while we went to Dubai. I felt happy leaving Tyler with Debbie and Pete, as I knew she'd be loved and looked after just like Solo. Debbie kept me updated via text about how Tyler was doing and we got a disc of photos when we picked her up. Judging by these Tyler has had a fun-filled holiday of her own! We're really pleased to have found Petpals and we would whole-heartedly recommend Debbie and Pete. Tyler will definitely be holidaying with them again!
