Neil Sargent took over the established Saffron Walden operation in December 2004. He operates the business from Saffron Walden and covers all the areas listed above.

Both Neil and Kellie have been brought up with animals from guinea pigs and rabbits to cats, dogs and horses. They both have lived in Saffron Walden all their lives. They took over from friends Richard and Pauline Herd who retired after successfully establishing the business.

They are helped by Kellie's parents, Barrie and Sue who have become valuable members of the Saffron Walden team - making sure there is always cover 365 days of the year.

At Petpals we are fully trained, insured, and police checked. Our pet sitting services are flexible and can be tailored to your pet's individual needs. Our pet sitting services include, dog sitting, dog walking, home visits for cats and small pets, puppy care, elderly dog care, home visits for dogs and a pet taxi and pet to vet service.

Neil is a registered pet sitter who has completed training in the following:

Pet Care, Pet Sitting, Dog Sitting and Dog Walking Services offered by Petpals Saffron Walden

• Dog Walking

  Making use of the many areas found locally, our dog walking aims to give your dog a stimulating and enjoyable walk in a safe environment. These can be individual visits for your dog(s) and or multi walks, with up to four dogs at a time transported in our purpose fitted vehicles.

• Puppy and Elderly Dog Visits

  Our puppy and elderly pet care service offers you units of time during the day to visit your dog(s) at home. During the visit we walk your dog or puppy, play, and if required help with ongoing training, toileting breaks, etc., along with, of course, lots of TLC.

• Cat Sitting and Cat Visits

  Petpals have proven to be very popular with clients that want to leave their cats at home in there own environment, with familiar comforts and smells, particularly with elderly cats and cats that need medication. Our cat sitting service allows clients to go away safe in the knowledge that Petpals are visiting their cats to feed, clean litter trays if required, play, along with lots of TLC.

• Pet Sitting

  Our home based pet sitting service is a real alternative to kennels, your pets can remain in their own familiar surroundings, with their own routines and food while you are away.

• Small Pets and Exotics

  Petpals also have varied experience in caring for small pets and exotics and are happy to provide home visits for these types of pets too.

• Pet Taxi

  Petpals are equipped with pet friendly vehicles fitted with specially designed safety cages of various sizes with a vet bed on top of removable rubber matting for hygiene. We can transport everything from small pets and cats to giant dog breeds. We can also help with trips to the vets.

  Neil has been a great help since we started using Petpals in Saffron Walden just over 3 years ago. It's good to know that our pets are in good hands while we're away and Neil has even provided assistance when we locked ourselves out of the house!!   I have used Petpals several times now and find them very efficient and reliable. I think for the excellent care they provide the price is very competitive. When I go away I know my cat will be well looked after and the post brought in etc. I could ask a friend but I prefer to pay a small amount for peace of mind and good service.

  Neil and Barrie are as reliable, professional and trustworthy as it is possible to be. Our dog, Loki,adores them both and they keep good control of him whilst letting him enjoy himself immensely. Loki was a rescue dog, and not always easy to handle, but Neil and Barrie very quickly got the measure of him. Would recommend them without hesitation.

  The greatest compliment I can give Neil is that I know my dog, George absolutely trusts and respects him and her display of total delight when he comes to walk her provides us with peace of mind that she is not only taken care of but is very happy in his care. Cats Protection League Needs your help

Please help Aniela & Matt find SPIRO

This is our much loved cat, SPIRO, have you seen him?

He is very affectionate, & can be very nosey. He lives in Castle Street, although we do know he visits other houses – sorry about that!

Its not like him disappear so we are getting very worried about where he could be.. His twin sister is distraught without him; please help to reunite us.

He has missed critical medical attention in his absence, which is a big concern.
