After 15 years in the aviation industry Emma-Jane LaRoche launched her Petpals operation in October 2003 where she was the first to open a Petpals Franchise in Surrey.

Emma-Jane has 3 dogs of her own and a parrot called Baby. Emma-Jane's main hobby for the past 10 years has been dog agility where two of her dogs have been finalists at Crufts. She is also an Agility Club Approved Instructor (1st Class).

Emma-Jane also has an interest in showing. She has previously organised training days for the Lagotto Romagnolo Club of Great Britain encouraging people and their dogs to try out different working disciplines i.e. Agility, Flyball, Working Trials etc.

Experienced in looking after a variety of pets Emma-Jane is very happy to discuss your pet care requirements and give help or advice should it be required.

Before taking on a dog walking commission she encourages owners to join her on a walk and should it be required, will help advise on basic training and recall techniques.

At Petpals we are fully trained and insured. Our pet sitting services are flexible and can be tailored to your pet's individual needs. Petpals are the real alternative to kennels and catteries. • Dog Walking

  Making use of the many areas found locally, our dog walking aims to give your dog a stimulating and enjoyable walk in a safe environment. These can be individual visits for your dog(s) and or multi walks, with up to four dogs at a time transported in our purpose fitted vehicles.

• Puppy and Elderly Dog Visits

  Our puppy and elderly pet care service offers you units of time during the day to visit your dog(s) at home. During the visit we walk your dog or puppy, play, and if required help with ongoing training, toileting breaks, etc., along with, of course, lots of TLC.

• Dog Boarding and Pet Boarding

  We offer a pet boarding and pet care experience where your dog can stay in the home of one of our carefully selected, dedicated carers. You will be given the opportunity to meet the pet boarding carer before you go away and to see where your pet will be staying. When your dog stays with a Petpals approved family they are treated as one of the family with all the usual sights, sounds and smells of family life, but best of all they will receive all the love, cuddles and attention they deserve!

• Cat Sitting and Cat Visits

  Petpals have proven to be very popular with clients that want to leave their cats at home in there own environment, with familiar comforts and smells, particularly with elderly cats and cats that need medication. Our cat sitting service allows clients to go away safe in the knowledge that Petpals are visiting their cats to feed, clean litter trays if required, play, along with lots of TLC.

• Pet Sitting and Home Sitting

  Our home based pet sitting service is a real alternative to kennels, your pets can remain in their own familiar surroundings, with their own routines and food while you are away.

• Small Pets and Exotics

  Petpals also have varied experience in caring for small pets and exotics and are happy to provide home visits for these types of pets too.

• Pet Taxi

  Petpals are equipped with pet friendly vehicles fitted with specially designed safety cages of various sizes with a vet bed on top of removable rubber matting for hygiene. We can transport everything from small pets and cats to giant dog breeds. We can also help with trips to the vets.

  Emma-Jane has walked my dog since she was a puppy, starting with short walks, progressing to longer off lead group walks. Emma-Jane has always found a solution when illness has prevented my dog joining the usual walks. She is totally reliable, trustworthy and prioritises the safety of the dogs she walks and the people she meets while walking. Best of all, my dog loves her!

  I thought having a dog would be easier when we retired, paradoxically it's not; with no need to be in a particular place at a particular time our lifestyle has become much more erratic. Emma Jane has been a god-send. Although I try not to make a habit of it, I know I can phone her at a day or so's notice and she will always see to Henry for me. She's been looking after him on an occasional basis since he was tiny and he loves her to bits. One un-expected bonus is that my husband, who's very zealous about security, has no qualms about her letting herself into the house and locking up again when she leaves. Not only do I not have to worry about the dog, but I get no complaints from my other half when I say E-J is looking after Henry - what could be better than that! She's always willing to share her agility expertise too. Thanks E-J

  I am very fussy about my dogs, so when I met Emma Jane and got to know her well, I was so relieved, as now my Pet Care problems were over! I can leave them for Emma Jane to walk and not worry about them again, knowing they have had a good romp in the woods. They always have fun and go crazy when they see Emma Janes Petpals van !! To them it means one thing FUN ! We have also used their Home Boarding. My dogs slept for a day on our return, as they had played so much with the other dogs and had lovely walks whilst in Emma Janes care. Much nicer than Kennels!! Thank you for all your help Emma Jane
