Welcome to Petpals Doncaster

Hi, my name is Debbie and before launching my new career with Petpals I served 22 years in the Queen Alexander's Royal Army Nursing Corps as a regular serving soldier. I have served all over the world in peace keeping and in operational roles. I have been a fully qualified Registered Nurse (General) for 25 years. I undertook my nurse training at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield following a 2 year Pre Nursing course at High Melton Technical College, Doncaster. I am qualified in First Aid and Advanced life Support.

I am an experienced animal owner, having had animals all my life. At present I have 2 dogs, Jack aged 14 years old, a Border Collie Cross Breed. Jack is epileptic and is on medication twice per day. He averages a fit approximately once every 3 months. Jack was rescued from Dogs Trust, Salisbury. I also have Charlie a Chocolate Labrador aged 8 years old, he has arthritis and is on daily medication. Charlie was rescued from a neighbour. I have also looked after family and friends pets while they have been away, sometimes for 6 months at a time. I love all animals, but have a phobia of flying birds.

I intend to complete as many animal related courses as possible to ensure the care I give is correct and to a GOLD standard. I have completed a course in Animal First Aid and An Introduction to Dog Behaviour at The College of Animal Welfare, Leeds. I have also had training in Dog Handling.

Please contact us to make a booking.

Pet Care, Pet Sitting and Pet Boarding Services offered by Petpals Doncaster

  • Dog Walking

Making use of the many areas found locally, our dog walking aims to give your dog a stimulating and enjoyable walk in a safe environment. These can be individual visits for your dog(s) and or multi walks, with up to four dogs at a time transported in our purpose fitted vehicles.

  • Puppy and Elderly Dog Visits

Our puppy and elderly pet care service offers you units of time during the day to visit your dog(s) at home. During the visit we walk your dog or puppy, play, and if required help with ongoing training, toileting breaks, etc., along with, of course, lots of TLC.

  • Dog Boarding and Pet Boarding

We offer a pet boarding and pet care experience where your dog can stay in the home of one of our carefully selected, dedicated carers. You will be given the opportunity to meet the pet boarding carer before you go away and to see where your pet will be staying. When your dog stays with a Petpals approved family they are treated as one of the family with all the usual sights, sounds and smells of family life, but best of all they will receive all the love, cuddles and attention they deserve!

  • Cat Sitting and Cat Visits

Petpals have proven to be very popular with clients that want to leave their cats at home in there own environment, with familiar comforts and smells, particularly with elderly cats and cats that need medication. Our cat sitting service allows clients to go away safe in the knowledge that Petpals are visiting their cats to feed, clean litter trays if required, play, along with lots of TLC.

  • Pet Sitting

Our home based pet sitting service is a real alternative to kennels, your pets can remain in their own familiar surroundings, with their own routines and food while you are away.

  • Small Pets and Exotics

Petpals also have varied experience in caring for small pets and exotics and are happy to provide home visits for these types of pets too.

  • Pet Taxi

Petpals are equipped with pet friendly vehicles fitted with specially designed safety cages of various sizes with a vet bed on top of removable rubber matting for hygiene. We can transport everything from small pets and cats to giant dog breeds. We can also help with trips to the vets.

Debbie has walked my dog Grace 3-4 times a week since April. I have never had a complaint to make. Grace really seems to enjoy playing with her 'friends' and I like to read what she's been up to. My dog means alot to me and I wouldn't leave her with just anybody I totally trust Debbie and rely on her alot. Many thanks from both Rebecca and Grace.

Last Sunday 17 April 2011 our dog Whiskey became unwell. Don't know if it was something he had eaten or picked up while he was out, but he was not eating or drinking and looked very sorry for himself. His tummy was grumbling and he was sick. We took him to the vets on the Tuesday and he prescribed antibiotics. On Wednesday Debbie comes to collect Whiskey for his weekly walk, but I texted her before I went to work to ask if she would check on him and if possible take him to her home to keep an eye on him while me and my husband were out at work. She collected him at 11.30 and kept him till I got home and called her to bring him back home. He had enjoyed being with her dogs and looked better when he got home. Just want to say thanks Debbie for putting our minds at rest while we were at work. Whiskey means so much to us and has taken to you as if you are part of the family. This is very reassuring when you have to go to work and leave him. Thank you. Bev and Phillip

My dog Whiskey, who is a rescue dog, had his first walk with Debbie on Wednesday 06 April, and enjoyed it very much, cause he was worn out and fast asleep when I got home. Thanks for the pictures of him on his walk, it is very reassuring to see him enjoying his walk.

My Dog Gracie (9 months old) has just spent 2 weeks with her new friends Debbie,Jack Charlie & Molly Ive got to say i was a bit worried at first as i had never used this kind of service before (and i,ve got to admit was in 2 minds as to whether i could go on holiday and enjoy it knowing i,d left Gracie) but my fears soon disappeared on meeting Debbie who has been exellent going above and beyond to ensure i was aware Gracie had settled in, needless to say i did enjoy my holiday Gracie Definatley enjoyed her stay (I have pictures of her playing with her new friends and making herself at home at Debbies which Debbie sent to me via e-mail) I would definatley recommend Petpals Doncaster without any hesitation.

Archie is a regular client of Petpals. Debbie's home is his 'second' home. I would thoroughly recommend Debbie, she has walked Archie for me when I was at work, and he stays with her when I go on holiday. Archie is a much loved pet, but I nevger give him a thought when I am away because I know that he is being well cared for. Debbie also does a home visit and feeds my Cockatiel. I have booked them both in for this year, and also for March of 2012.
