Having started up the Chichester franchise in December 2004 and working hard to establish the Petpals name in the area, Owen and Beverley Salisbury have now decided to sell the franchise and move onto pastures new. The franchise is being taken over by myself - Garry Morrison. Having decided to move down from Scotland and set up a new life with my partner, Emma Blackshaw, I see Petpals as a great opportunity to not only work but to get to know a lovely area and the people in it. Some of you may already know Emma as she is a veterinary nurse at the Chichester Pet Doctors clinic and also works at Selsey on occasion. While she won't be affiliated with Petpals, Emma will be available for emergency advice if required.

Being an Animal lover all my life I am really excited about starting work at Petpals. I know that Owen has provided a great service in the area and I will strive to keep up the level of service that you, the valued Petpals customers, have become used to. Owen will be staying on for the first couple of weeks to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible and I look forward to learning the ropes from him. I also look forward to meeting all of the Petpals customers and their pets and building up a strong relationship with you all in the future.

• Pet Sitting and Home Sitting

  
  Putting your pets into kennels or a cattery can be a traumatic experience both for the pets and the owners. Petpals can provide a carer to stay in your own home and look after your pets, making sure they have the companionship and routine they are used to. You also have the added peace of mind that your home is safe and is being looked after in your absence.

• Dog walking

  
  Making use of the many areas found locally, our dog walking aims to give your dog a stimulating and enjoyable walk in a safe environment. These can be individual visits for your dog(s) and or multi walks, with up to four dogs at a time transported in our purpose fitted vehicles. So whether you are at work, on holiday, or even just want to plan a day out somewhere, you can relax in the knowledge that you have a reliable service to care for your dog.

• Cat visits

  
  Many cat owners will recognise that their cats are far happier in their own environment, with familiar comforts and smells, particularly cats that are elderly or in need of medication. Petpals cat sitting service allows our clients to enjoy peace of mind knowing that a dedicated Petpals carer will be visiting to feed, clean litter trays, play and above all ensure that all is well whilst they are away.

• Small Pets/Exotics/Equine

  
  No animal (yet!) is too small or too large for us to care for. In every case, we’ll meet you first for a FREE initial assessment to understand your needs and the needs of your pet, making sure we completely satisfy your requirements.

• Pet Taxis

  
  Sometimes, it isn’t always easy to find pet transport in a hurry. We are equipped with a purpose built van, built to RSPCA and Blue Cross standards, and able to transport pets safely and securely to vet visits, trips to the groomers, house moves, in fact, wherever they need to be!

Petpals Chichester - 5th year in Full Swing

As we entered our 5th year of operation in the Chichester area, Petpals continues to provide first class service to hundreds of caring pet owners in this great cathedral city and surrounding areas.

At our 4th anniversary, we calculated we had made over 6,000 pet care visits, ranging from dog walking, feeding of a huge variety of small pets, numerous medication (including our insulin injection facility) visits and pet transport , a highlight being a run in our fully equipped pet transport to Heathrow to help a lovely young yellow lab to emigrate with his family to New Zealand - he is loving it out there!

Can we take this chance to say thanks to all our loyal clients, their great pets, and to our staff for their care , dedication and love for the animals in their care which makes us proud to be the first class pet care service in the area.
